Privacy

Wattopedia stores only what it needs to run the site. It does not sell that data.

What is stored

Contact notes and error reports include the submitted name, email, message and page, plus a keyed hash of the IP address. Helpful feedback is stored as aggregate yes/no counts for a page, not an individual voter record or IP hash. Staff accounts include email, a password hash, and protected authenticator credentials.

Sessions and abuse prevention

Protected forms and staff access use essential sessions. Depending on the session and hosting configuration, session records, rate limiting and infrastructure logs may process IP addresses and browser metadata. Contact spam checks use Cloudflare Turnstile when configured. See the cookie policy for the session scope.

What is not stored

Calculator inputs are not saved as user profiles. Shared calculation addresses contain your inputs and may appear in browser history, shared links and server logs; do not enter confidential information. Ads and advertising identifiers are not enabled.

Staging

The staging host asks search engines not to index it. Do not treat staging as the public catalog.
